NPR's David Greene and Rachel Martin look back at famous theme songs from pop culture, and remember the old Morning Edition theme as the show debuts the updated version of the song.
"It's not a decision that we took on lightly," Meg Goldthwaite, NPR's chief marketing officer, told The New York Times. "We wanted to freshen the music and get it ready for what we hope will be another 50 years. It just felt like it was time."
