Authorities in Duluth are investigating the shooting death of a man early Sunday on the city's west side.
Police said officers responded to a report of shots fired along the 300 block of North 62nd Avenue West, just north of Interstate 35, just after 1:45 a.m.
"Upon arrival, police located a 33-year-old male inside a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound to his midsection," police reported in a news release. "He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased."
Police said the investigation was "active and ongoing" as of mid-morning Sunday. No other details were immediately available.
