U.S. roadway death rate up in March despite virus restrictions

Morning rush hour is quiet on I-94 as the sun rises Monday, March 30, 2020, the first weekday of the state's "stay at home" order. The rate of fatal automobile crashes in the U.S. jumped dramatically in March, even though the number of miles driven plummeted due to coronavirus stay-home orders.
