The driver of a semi escaped serious injury after a crash along Interstate 94 in western Minnesota on Wednesday that sent the tractor-trailer tumbling down an embankment and onto a county road.
Photos from the scene showed the mangled wreckage of the semi, where it came to rest near a freeway overpass.
The State Patrol said it happened just before 10:30 a.m. along Interstate 94 at the County Road 10 overpass in Otter Tail County, between Fergus Falls and Rothsay.

Two westbound trucks — a Kenworth semi and a Freightliner box truck — collided, sending the Kenworth into the median and over a bridge embankment onto County Road 10.

The driver of the Kenworth — a 53-year-old man from Forest Lake — was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Fergus Falls, with what the Patrol said were non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other truck, a 21-year-old man from Henning, was also injured but did not need to be taken to a hospital. A passenger in the second truck was not hurt.
The Patrol said everyone involved was wearing seat belts.
The county road remained blocked at last report, as crews worked to clear the wrecked semi.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
