The Minnesota Vikings and veteran safety Josh Metellus reached an agreement on Saturday to a multiyear deal.
The deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter is a three-year, $36 million contract extension with a max value of $42 million that includes $25 million guaranteed.
During the 2024 season, the 27-year-old recorded 103 tackles on defense, to go along with six quarterback hits, two interceptions and a forced fumble. He started 10 of 17 games and logged 991 snaps on defense and another 210 on special teams.
The versatile safety was a 2020 sixth round selection out of the University of Michigan.
