Four men were wounded in a shooting in St. Paul on Monday afternoon.
St. Paul police said the victims suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The shooting happened near the corner of Earl Street and Fourth Street East, in the city’s Dayton’s Bluff neighborhood. Officers responding to reports of gunfire just after 4:30 p.m. found two injured men in the intersection, and two other victims behind a nearby home.
“Investigators are working to determine who the shooter or shooters were, but we do not believe there is any threat to public safety,” St. Paul police said in a news release. “Preliminary evidence suggests the victims may have been shooting at one another.”
Authorities didn’t release any further information on the circumstances of the shooting.
Police said Tuesday morning that the investigation remains active. There were no reports of arrests.
