A coalition of Twin Cities organizations will take part Friday in a peaceful rally and march in downtown Minneapolis. The 100 groups — labor unions, clergy, childcare workers, immigrants and more — will call on ICE to leave Minnesota.
Rabbi Tamar Magill-Grimm is the senior rabbi at Beth Jacob congregation in Mendota Heights and is part of a group of clergy who announced this week they will participate. Organizers said they encourage people to avoid shopping, work or school Friday seeking four demands.
“ICE out of Minnesota. Prosecute the agent who killed Renee Good. Congress must investigate ICE and withhold funding. Corporations must protect their workers and demand action,” Magill-Grimm said.
Magill-Grimm added that clergy invites people to pray, fast, deliver a meal and speak out.
