The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says it has been “blocked” from investigating Saturday morning’s fatal shooting of a man by federal officers.
In a social media post, a spokesperson for the agency said the BCA was called to the scene of the shooting by Minneapolis police.
They say BCA personnel tried to access the location of the shooting but were prevented from doing so by DHS officials at the scene.
DHS has said the man was armed. Minneapolis police chief Brian O'Hara says the man had a permit to carry a firearm.
The BCA has also been blocked by DHS from investigating the fatal shooting of Renee Macklin Good by an ICE officer earlier this month.
