People gathered across the state Saturday night to mourn Alex Pretti after he was fatally shot by a federal immigration agent earlier in the day in Minneapolis. Many also protested the massive federal immigration enforcement surge.

The shooting sent the city and state reeling again, weeks after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot and killed Renee Macklin Good on Jan. 7. Last week, an agent shot and wounded a man in Minneapolis.
