Weeks after ICE agent Jonathan Ross shot and killed Renee Macklin Good in Minneapolis, hundreds of people gathered to mourn another Minnesota resident fatally shot by a federal immigration agent.
Alex Pretti was shot and killed Saturday, Jan. 24, near 26th Street and Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis’ Whittier neighborhood. He was an intensive care nurse and worked for the Minneapolis veterans hospital.
Neighborhoods across the state organized candlelight vigils and hundreds gathered in the Whittier neighborhood and at the site of the shooting to remember Pretti and protest the massive federal immigration enforcement surge in Minnesota.
