The Minnesota Vikings said Friday that Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, the team’s general manager, has been fired.
“Following our annual end-of-season organizational meetings over the last several weeks and after careful consideration, we have decided it is in the best interest of the team to move forward with new leadership of our football operations,” team owners Mark and Zygi Wilf said in a statement.
Executive Vice President of Football Operations Rob Brzezinski will lead team operations through the 2026 NFL Draft, the statement added.
The Vikings last year signed Adofo-Mensah to a multi-year contract extension following a 14-win season that ended in a bitter loss to the Los Angeles Rams in an NFC wild-card playoff game.
Adofo-Mensah came to football following a career on Wall Street as a commodities trader and portfolio manager.
