A public visitation is planned for Sunday for Minnesota hockey journalist Jessi Pierce and her three children who died in a house fire in White Bear Lake last weekend.
Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Mueller Memorial funeral home in White Bear Lake.
Pierce — also known as Jessi Hinrichs — and her children Hudson, Cayden and Avery were found dead following a fire at their home early last Saturday. Pierce’s husband, Mike Hinrichs, was out of town for work.
He and the Hinrichs family issued a statement Thursday thanking first responders, the Minnesota hockey community and others for the outpouring of support and compassion over the past week.
“We are completely devastated at the tragic loss of Jessi, Hudson, Cayden and Avery Hinrichs,” the statement said. “We ask for continued privacy during this extremely difficult time as we grieve this unthinkable loss.”
Pierce’s hockey coverage included co-hosting the “Bardown Beauties” podcast and writing about the Minnesota Wild as the correspondent for NHL.com for the past decade.
