Police in Hudson, Wis., said Tuesday that a person of interest was in custody in connection with a bomb threat received by a church.
That written threat to Faith Community Church prompted an evacuation of the church and the surrounding area along Carmichael Road, north of Interstate 94, on Tuesday morning as authorities searched the building.
In an update Tuesday afternoon, Hudson police said there was no threat to the public. The evacuation has ended.
“All church programs and activities can proceed as scheduled,” church officials said in a social media post. “Thank you to all our local law enforcement and first responders, and thank you to everyone for your prayers and support.”
Authorities have not released further details on the threat, or on the person who was detained.
