After an awful week that had much of Minnesota blanketed by hazardous air, air quality is expected to improve rapidly across the state Monday.
Surface smoke across northeastern Monday afternoon will be limited to the immediate area of the fires in the Superior National Forest, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency said in its Monday air quality forecast.
The entire state is expected to be in the moderate air quality category. However, that could change in Minnesota’s Arrowhead region if fires worsen, the MPCA added.
