Forest Service announces more campground and entry point reopenings

The U.S. Forest Service announced several more campgrounds in northeast Minnesota and entry points to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness will reopen this week.
The entry points on the western portion of the forest on the Kawishiwi and LaCroix Ranger districts will open for overnight use on Wednesday.
That includes Trout, Slim and Wood lakes. Moose Lake will also reopen with no paddle travel beyond the Lewis Narrows and Upper Basswood Falls.
The Fall Lake and Fenske Lake campgrounds outside Ely will reopen Friday.
The Forest Service announced earlier this weekend entry points on the eastern portion of the wilderness will reopen Tuesday.
