The Mankato Free Press criticizes this month's decision by two faculty unions not to participate in a plan to overhaul the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system, saying they're trying to sabotage the overhaul through "guerrilla warfare."
On Monday, the St. Cloud State faculty senate passed a vote of 29 in support, with one abstention and one against.

The long-running grumbling by faculty at state-run universities over how Chancellor Steven Rosenstone is carrying out his plan to revamp the system is coming to a head tonight.
"We want a process that builds unity, not one that creates division," says the leader of the union for instructors at Minnesota's two-year state colleges.
The state legislative auditor says the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system should rethink how it conducts and documents investigations following its firing of Mankato football coach Todd Hoffner.
Faculty cited a recurring pattern of secrecy in MnSCU decision making regarding the hiring of private consultants, questionable spending decisions by the System Office, and an unwillingness to incorporate greater student and faculty input into long term planning.
