Saturday was South Carolina’s turn in the presidential primary spotlight, with Democratic candidates vying for a win to either bolster their momentum or give their campaign a chance to continue. 

As voters cast their ballots, analysts were paying close attention to 

; they make up 60 percent of Democratic voters in the state. They came out in full force for former Vice President Joe Biden — who had lackluster finishes in the other early states. Will this strong showing give his campaign the boost he needed? Or will the momentum slow down on Super Tuesday? 

Kerri Miller spoke with a political scientist from South Carolina about the results from the first southern state to weigh in on the Democratic presidential race. They also looked at how the candidates are projected to do on Super Tuesday.
