If President Donald Trump loses the election in November, it will likely be because of women. Polls show challenger and former Vice President Joe Biden leading by double digits. And for women, 2020 is a critical year. The pandemic has forced more caretaking on women, and they’re losing their jobs in greater numbers than men.

Tuesday on MPR News with Kerri Miller, we look at what women are thinking in 2020, as the election inches ever closer. What is motivating them? What do they care about? And will they come out and vote?

Guests:

  • Edda Collins Coleman is co-founder of the All In Together Campaign, a non-partisan women’s organization committed to closing the gaps in politics.

  • Kelly Dittmar is an associate professor of political science at Rutgers University and director of research at the Center for American Women and Politics.
