
Meet Kelly Gordon
Kelly Gordon is the producer of Big Books and Bold Ideas with Kerri Miller and North Star Journey Live, an event series and show designed to highlight communities in Minnesota that are often overlooked.
Before joining MPR News, Kelly was a TV news producer at NBC 7 San Diego, where she was nominated for an Emmy Award for coverage of the 1998 El Nino. She also edited several newspapers in the San Diego beach communities.
Kelly’s work has received several awards and distinctions including Eric Sevareid Awards from the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association for her work on “North Star Journey Live” and “Climate Cast.”
While she misses California, Kelly considers Minnesota home and can often be found outdoors with her family, celebrating the gift of four distinct seasons. She especially loves spending time on the North Shore.
