This year’s Democratic and Republican conventions have been unconventional, to say the least. Largely virtual because of the pandemic, the nominating weeks for both parties offered new style. But many critics say there wasn’t much substance.

Did the Democrats cast a compelling vision of a potential presidency for former Vice President Joe Biden? Did President Donald Trump sway undecided voters to cast their support to him?
