The COVID-19 pandemic spun the globe into crisis. Borders closed, businesses shuttered, countries locked down, more than a million died. But amid all the turmoil, CNN host and journalist Fareed Zakaria sees possibility, not pandemonium.

“Given the unstable nature of our international system,” Zakaria writes in his new book, “it may seem that our world is terribly fragile. It is not.”

In “Ten Lessons for a Post-Pandemic World,” Zakaria considers how the pandemic could radically change our relationships to work and technology. He also believes Americans have important decisions to make about the role of government in their lives

Wednesday at 9 a.m., MPR News host Kerri Miller spoke with Zakaria about how the coronavirus could change us — and how international policy might change under a new administration.
