A growing number of lawmakers are calling for Vice President Mike Pence to remove President Donald Trump from office by using the powers granted in the 25th Amendment. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said that if the vice president and Trump’s Cabinet don’t take action, that Congress might impeach the president — for a second time.
Rep. Ilhan Omar on Thursday afternoon submitted a resolution for impeachment and called on leaders to act quickly.
Friday morning, MPR News host Kerri Miller spoke with two lawyers about legal precedents for the 25th Amendment, impeachment and presidential pardons.
