Parts of southwestern and west-central Minnesota have seen some snow and rain this Sunday morning,
A low pressure system will continue to spread moisture across Minnesota and western Wisconsin this afternoon and this evening. Some areas will see a second wave of moisture late Sunday night and Monday morning.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s High Resolution Rapid-Refresh (HRRR) forecast model shows the potential precipitation pattern from noon today through noon on Monday:

Parts of west-central and southwestern Minnesota could see some snow accumulation on grassy areas today, followed by rain or a rain/snow mix. Some periods of rain are expected in the Twin Cities metro area this Sunday afternoon, but we could also see a mix of rain and wet snowflakes at times. We’ll also have an early evening shower chance and a chance of scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm late Sunday night/early Monday.
In northeastern Minnesota, the rain/snow mix holds off until late this afternoon, then it’ll continue into Sunday evening and change to all snow overnight. Parts of northeastern Minnesota could see 1-2 inches of snow:

Temperature trends
Our average April 25 Twin Cities high temperature is 63 degrees. The metro area will share highs in the 40s with most of Minnesota this Sunday. A few spots in far southwestern and far northwestern Minnesota could touch 50, and a few spots in west-central Wisconsin could reach 50 briefly.
A warm front moves into southern Minnesota on Monday. Monday highs reach the 70s in southern Minnesota, with 60s and 50s in central Minnesota and 40s in northern Minnesota:
Some spots in the Twin Cities metro area will top out around 70 late Monday afternoon.
Monday wind gusts will be 20-27 mph in many areas:
The forecast gusts are in knots, with 23 knots equal to 26.5 mph.
Back to temperatures, Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the lower 60s Tuesday, followed by mid 60s Wednesday and Thursday and upper 60s on Friday.
Above normal-temps may be with us next weekend into the start of the following week. The NWS Climate Prediction Center is now showing a slight tendency for above-normal temps in our neck of the woods from April 30 through May 4:
