As St. Paul voters back rent control, developers pause projects

Last week, St. Paul voters headed to the polls to approve a rent control measure that caps rent increases at 3 percent per year.

While proponents are pleased with the results, others are concerned. The Star Tribune reports that less than 24 hours after St. Paul voters approved the measure, developers started placing their projects on hold.

Amy Brendmoen, St Paul’s city council president, joined host Cathy Wurzer to talk about what the newly greenlit proposal means for the city.
