Minnesotans don’t usually have to worry about severe thunderstorms and tornadoes in December.

Southern Minnesota is facing a threat of high winds, tornadoes and maybe an inch of rain Wednesday afternoon, while northern Minnesota could be looking at snow. To talk about the timing and details, MPR News chief meteorologist Paul Huttner joined host Cathy Wurzer. He told Wurzer that he’s getting tired of all of the new weather records being set in the state lately.
