Minnesota will mark the second anniversary of George Floyd’s murder next week. Artists and community leaders are finding ways to honor his legacy and continue to advocate for change in their communities.

That includes Minneapolis-based artist Sean Garrison. He’s working to provoke honest conversations about the experiences of Black Americans through a live performance called “The Darkness in My Skin.” The Kickstarter for the project runs through May 26.

Correction: “The Darkness in My Skin” is scheduled for July 23 at the Ordway Theater.
