The man suspected of killing four people last week in Minneapolis is expected to make his first appearance Monday afternoon. James Duane Ortley, 34, is charged in what prosecutors say was the execution-style killings of 27-year-old Evan Denny, 20-year-old Merelle White, and 17-year-old Joseph Goodwin. All three died at the scene of the shooting on Tuesday. A fourth victim died Thursday. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified him over the weekend as 28-year-old LeRas Francis Rainey.
Minnesota legislative leaders are working behind the scenes to hammer out their policy differences before the end of session in two weeks.
At the state Capitol over the weekend, demonstrators rallied for disability rights. Many were protesting Trump administration actions they say would end essential programs and services for people with disabilities.
