A proposed federal consent decree with the Minneapolis Police Department is now officially no more. The order was expected after the DOJ filed a motion last week seeking to drop the suit. Minneapolis city leaders say they will continue to institute reforms mandated by the agreement.
Immigrant rights groups and advocates are pushing Gov. Tim Walz and the Minnesota Legislature to continue funding MinnesotaCare coverage for undocumented immigrants.
