Gov. Tim Walz to testify at U.S. House hearing on immigration enforcement

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will be in the hot seat on Capitol Hill during a U.S. House hearing on immigration enforcement.

Around 200 people lined up along the Lake Street-Marshall Avenue bridge between Minneapolis and St. Paul Wednesday to protest the Trump administration’s actions on immigration enforcement. 

A St. Paul woman accused of attacking FBI agents during the search of a Minneapolis restaurant last week is due in federal court Thursday for a detention hearing.

The Trump administration says it is starting the process to reverse a Biden-era ban on mining on a huge swath of land near the Boundary Waters.

The Minneapolis Police Department has surpassed 600 sworn officers for the first time since early 2023.
