Vice President JD Vance has met with the families of the two children who were killed in last week’s mass shooting at Annunication Catholic Church and School in Minneapolis.
A funeral is scheduled for Sunday for Fletcher Merkel. Visitation is from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis with the funeral to follow. Fletcher was 8-years-old. He was killed along with 10-year-old Harper Moyski.

Three employees from an Environmental Protection Agency lab in Duluth have been fired after signing a letter criticizing the Trump Administration's EPA policies. The Duluth employees say they were among 10 EPA employees fired nationwide who also signed the letter. The letter accused the agency of undermining public trust and criticized the decision to dismantle the agency’s Office of Research and Development. The freshwater research lab in Duluth is part of that office.
