Rep. Zack Stephenson elected new DFL House leader

The Vikings opened the season Monday night with a come-from-behind 27-24 victory over the Chicago Bears. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy threw for two touchdowns and and ran for another score in the second half. The Vikings overcame an 11-point deficit. The Vikings host the Atlanta Falcons Sunday night.

Federal transportation officials say two people died when a helicopter crashed in Lakeville last weekend. The National Transportation Safety Board says it’s not yet known why the helicopter went down just west of Airlake Airport. It was the second fatal aircraft crash in Minnesota in three days. A pilot died when a small plane crashed near Cambridge last Thursday.
