The Minnesota Lynx are out of the playoffs after losing Sunday night to the Phoenix Mercury. The Lynx had a 13-point lead at the start of the fourth quarter, but the Mercury pulled ahead at the end with a final score of 86-81.
The Lynx played without star player Napheesa Collier, who got injured at the very end of Friday night's game, as well as without head coach Cheryl Reeve, who was suspended after being ejected from Friday night’s game. In her place was associate head coach Eric Thibault. Reeve is one of several coaches saying the league is getting too physical and is calling for the league to crack down on officiating.
The Mercury will play the winner of Tuesday’s Game 5 between the Las Vegas Aces and Indiana Fever in the WNBA Finals on Friday.
