Two days after a federal operation in St. Paul, Immigration and Customs Enforcement is confirming more than a dozen arrests. ICE officers executed a federal search warrant that resulted in the arrests of 14 people on alleged immigration violations. An ICE spokesperson says one of the individuals arrested had past domestic abuse charges and another individual had allegedly “committed a felony by illegally re-entering the U.S.” It’s not clear how many of those arrested remain in custody.
The 77th defendant charged in the Feeding Our Future investigation is a Minneapolis grocery store owner.
An Iowa woman has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for the murder last year of 35-year-old Liara Tsai, a Minneapolis DJ.
The Minneapolis City Council has voted to approve a $475,000 settlement with the family of Leneal Frazier, who died in 2021 after a police officer chasing a suspect crashed into his car.
