Americans should vote with their dollars. That’s the theory behind the new Resist & Unsubscribe movement. It’s a national boycott, targeting major tech companies, in response to federal immigration operations. Participants are encouraged to unsubscribe from online services, delete apps and amplify the work by sharing their actions on social media.
Catharine Richert talks with one of the “Pivot” podcast hosts who launched the movement, Kara Swisher, about what the new call for action means and what it can realistically accomplish.
Catharine also talked with Christopher Wong Michaelson, professor of business ethics at St. Thomas who also teaches at New York University's Stern School of Business.
