Snow continues to blow Monday morning for parts of Minnesota, making road conditions hazardous after the weekend winter storm. Many Minnesotans spent part of their Sunday clearing nearly or more than a foot of snow. With it being later in the season, officials are warning that it is heavy, “heart-attack snow.”
Meanwhile, Rochester got walloped with 14 inches of snowfall by Sunday morning. The city urged residents not to drive and canceled public transportation Sunday. Some nearby highways closed.
Rochester Public Schools cancelled classes Monday and the city said government buildings will open later than normal.
In other news, a federal judge on Friday ordered that a man detained by ICE in January be released. The judge found that the man was illegally detained without a warrant for his arrest.
