Maggie O'Farrell pulls from the mythology of her own family for 'Land'

Even as Maggie O'Farrell's novel "Hamnet" was being transformed into an Oscar-winning movie, she was at work on a different historical novel, inspired by her own family. "Land" is that story, and it takes a deeply personal look at Ireland as it struggles to regain footing after the Great Hunger.
