Church celebrates 50 years of integration

This Sunday, the Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church in Minneapolis is celebrating the 50th anniversary of integrated worship in the Twin Cities. In 1957, the then-predominantely white congregation of Hennepin Avenue United Methodist, and the mostly-black congregation of Border Methodist joined in a historic merger.
