It's one big truck

A giant truck is rolling across the upper Midwest the next two days, delivering a load to an ethanol plant in Richardton, North Dakota.

The truck, carrying an industrial dryer, has 94 wheels and gets 2 miles to the gallon. It's traveling on Interstate 94 across Wisconsin Monday, and will enter Minnesota late Monday night.

The truck weighs nearly 230 tons, almost 200 tons heavier than most semi-trailers.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Shelley Latham, a dispatcher with Perkins Specialized Transportation Contracting, which is coordinating the travel.
