Photographer Larsh Bristol loved the land
Photographer Larsh Bristol is being remembered for capturing the life and land of the region he called home, northeastern Iowa. Bristol died in a car crash early Saturday morning. He was 54 years old. He did photojournalism work, and was also an agricultural photographer.
Julie Berg-Raymond edits "tapestry," an arts magazine in northeastern Iowa, and she used to run the Channel Cat art gallery in Lansing. Larsh Bristol's photos were the first she presented at that gallery.
Berg-Raymond says Bristol's most widespread photos are of Iowa's farm landscape, but his best work was about people. She spoke with MPR's Tom Crann.
