Several years ago, Nashville songwriter Jon Vezner was on a fishing trip near Grand Marais, Minnesota when his father became ill. While waiting for his dad to recuperate, Jon stumbled upon the North House Folk School and fell in love with the arts school and its mission on the beach of Lake Superior. For the past five years, Jon has gathered some other musician friends together to perform a concert to help raise funds for the school.

This year's "Unplugged V: The Northern Harvest" takes place Sept. 28 through Oct. 1, right at the peak of the fall color season on the North Shore. This year Vezner brought performers Celeste Krenz and Lindsay Mac with him to the Morning Show studio to play a few songs for Dale and Jim Ed and talk about the event.

Songs performed:

"His Dreams" - Lindsay Mac

"If I Were Free" - Celeste Krenz

"All Roads to the River" - Jon Vezner
