A Republican Representative from Big Lake leads the digest today. Mark Olson, who was reelected to his 8th term, has been arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic abuse. The St. Cloud Times and the AP have stories. There is a possibility of an ethics hearing in the House.
The NFL Commissioner was in Minnesota yesterday and met with Vikings owner Zygi Wilf and Governor Pawlenty. He also told reporters that he wants to find a "win-win" stadium solution for the team and the community. He characterized his meeting with Pawlenty as "positive." When I asked him if the governor made any commitments Goodell said "no." Ok, close the notebook and we'll see you guys during the legislative session when you have an actual plan. MPR has a story on the visit. The Pi Press has one as well. The Star Tribune says the cost of the stadium is going up.
