The Digest sees some economic storm clouds on Minnesota's economic horizon. That does not bode well for the November budget forecast. The Digest doesn't have spidey senses but Minnesota lost 6,600 jobs last month and tax collections are down.
The DFL Party will hold a news conference today to criticize Gov. Pawlenty on the issue. Get ready to hear criticism for stifling job growth by vetoing the transportation bill, a bonding bill and a tax bill. However, State Economist Tom Stinson says there isn't much the state can do to jump start the economy.
