CrimNet, Minnesota's electronic criminal record system, was designed to allow local, county and statewide criminal justice personnel access to all of the state's criminal records information electronically.
However, after $200 million and about a decade's worth of work, the project has yet to be completed.
Dave Johnson, the new executive director of CriMNet at the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, begins his duties in January. He joined All Things Considered host Tom Crann to discuss the future of CriMNet.
