I figured I should announce the winners since I mocked it yesterday.
BEMIDJI was elected in the coniferous forest zone, the biome of northeastern Minnesota.
DETROIT LAKES was elected in deciduous forest zone, the biome running diagonally northwest to southeast down the middle of the state and including some of the Twin Cities metro area.
NEW ULM was elected in the prairie grasslands, the biome running north/south on the western border of Minnesota, and including some of the Twin Cities area.
THIEF RIVER FALLS was elected in the tallgrass aspen parklands biome of northwestern Minnesota.
WINONA was elected in the driftless area of southeastern Minnesota – the only area of Minnesota never covered by a glacier.
