Well behaved storm

As earlier advertised, this latest snow storm laid out a nice swath of four to eight plus inches of snow from southwest Minnesota into northwest Wisconsin. Snowfall totals are provided in the link to the National Weather Service in Chanhassen.

Meanwhile the moisture drought continues in the northland, where for the first three months of the new year, Duluth has tallied only 1.31 inches of precipitation, more than 2.25 inches below normal.

The snow drought ended in portions of east central Minnesota. At the National Weather Service office in Chanhassen, twenty-five inches of snow accumulated just during the month of March. This is seven inches more than at the International Airport. The seasonal snowfall total, through March 31st is now 56.7 (actually slightly above normal) at Chanhassen.

It's a beautiful landscape on this first morning of April 2008. Anyone up for some cross country skiing?
