Senator Norm Coleman raised $1.27 million over a recent seven-week period, and entered the final months of his campaign with $5.6 million in the bank.

Coleman, a Minnesota Republican, will likely face off against DFL challenger Al Franken, who did not immediately make his latest campaign figures available.

The figures cover activity from July 1st through August 20th.

Coleman's latest report, filed Thursday, shows that he spent $2.86 million during the period.
