From morning weather and climate reports we can be gleeful in and around the Twin Cities and portions of northern Minnesota with the recent rainfall. Not so at St. Cloud. In the greater metro, there was anywhere from a quarter inch near Buffalo to more than one and three quarter inches of rain in Stillwater during the past twenty-four hours.
While the Intenrational Airport in the Twin Cities measured slightly more than a half inch (0.61), the St. Paul airport was doused with nearly an inch and half (1.46).
A record daily rainfall of 0.56 inch was tallied at International Falls for September 23rd and Duluth measured nearly an inch.

A very warm Friday appears to be shaping up for southern Minnesota. The record maximum for the Twin Cities on September 26th is 87 set in 1923.
