A surge of unseasonably warm air is on a collison course with a frontal boundary in northern Minnesota this afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms are likely to fire up from Bemidji to Hibbing and then drift southeast.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for a portion of northern and central Minnesota. The area from Alexandria to Duluth seems to be the most likely region for severe storms through this evening.
