While the debate continues about new sources of energy and renewable energy, there are opportunities to take personal responsibilty for reducing energy consumption. Not much more than lip-service has been given to encourage conservation. Perhaps information provided by the Department of Energy may be of value to you and your household.
With chilly overnight low temperatures this week, I suspect there will be a need to click on the furnace or erhaps burn some fire wood.
We have been running about three degrees above normal for September here in the Twin Cities. Seasonal or slightly below normal temperatures are seen for this week.
With no precipitation on tap for today or Tuesday, September will be the fifth consecutive month with below normal precipitation in the Twin Cities.
