Gen. Colin Powell said the election of Barack Obama is a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., but added that the president-elect will need all Americans to make King's dream come true.

Powell addressed the annual MLK Day breakfast sponsored by General Mills at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Midday airs the speech, and re-broadcasts Barack Obama's speech on race from March 18, 2008.
